Cellular models isolated from fresh cultures are essential for the advancement of biomedical research. It is well known that hepatocytes are used in biomedical research because of their metabolism abilities; which allows the classification, diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of human disease, as well as the evaluation of therapeutic response to drugs.
