Cytes Biotechnologies, S.L. is committed to comply with the ethical standards and national and international regulations for the acquisition, handling and supply of human and animal biological products for research.


HUMAN

Human tissue acquisition is performed according to Spanish and European legal requirements in order to ensure quality, safety and traceability of the generated material. Each isolation is performed after Donor's Consent (Signed Informed Donors Consent), donors are NO paid for their donations. And under the approval of the Bioethical Committee for Clinical Research of the University of Barcelona on October 9th 2015.


  • Spanish Legislation: Real Decreto de establecimiento de tejidos 1301/2006, Ley de Protección de Datos 15/1999, Real Decreto 1716/2011 de Biobancos.
  • European Legislation: 2004/23/EC, 2006/17/EC, 2006/8/EC.
  • Ethical principles: Nüremberg Code (1946), Helsinki Declaration (1996) and Belmont Report (1978).


ANIMAL
The acquisition of non-human tissue is performed under permits from the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food of the Territorial Services in Barcelona. Certificate permits numbers: 0006S/14511/2015 and 0006S/1412/2015. This procedure, in accordance with Article 32 of the Decree 214/1997 of July 30th concerning the protection of animals used for experimentation and other scientific purposes.



Our products are delivered in compliance of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.
